Research internship — Fresno office
The Research intern assists with campaign and outreach efforts in the San Joaquin Valley. Responsibilities may include:
- Conducting policy research and analysis
- Assisting in the monitoring of selected legislative and regulatory proposals
- Advocating policies to protect public health at local venues, as needed
- Collecting and analyzing data
Qualifications:
- Must be a current or recent undergraduate or graduate student
- Preferred focus of study is public policy, environmental science, public health, political science or related field
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple assignments
- Good interpersonal skills, with ability to work both independently and with significant supervision, as necessary
- Demonstrated abilities to take initiative and to work in a team environment
- Experience working on California’s environmental issues is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Commitment to the mission of the Coalition for Clean Air
