The Coalition for Clean Air offers the following unpaid internships for undergraduate or graduate students pursuing careers focused on environmental protection. Internships are seasonal, with a minimum 10-week commitment; starting and ending dates are flexible.
CCA’s Better Planning, Cleaner Air Program addresses air quality problems linked to poor transportation and land-use planning. The program focuses on reducing greenhouse gasses from the transportation sector by advocating for the planning and implementation of sustainable, healthier and equitable communities in the San Joaquin Valley and Los Angeles region.
The LA office is seeking an intern to support the Better Planning, Cleaner Air Program. The intern will work directly with the Deputy Policy Director and support the development of healthier land use policies that can be integrated into the 2016-2040 Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Community Strategy. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the new long-term effort we are coordinating to strengthen and broaden the environmental movement throughout the state.

Applicants must be able to start immediately. The minimum required commitment for this internship is 10 weeks, at 10-15 hours per week. A modest transportation stipend is available.
