ACTION ALERT | Tell the state to pass a strong electric trucks rule now

!
December 2019 Update: Thanks to your calls, comments and advocacy, CARB moved forward to begin the process of adopting a tougher regulation! CARB will vote on the final regulation in the spring of 2020.

Over 600,000 electric cars have been sold in California since we set zero-emission vehicle standards. It’s time for CARB to do the same for trucks.

The California Air Resources Board is considering an electric trucks rule that would require 20% of heavy duty trucks sold in California to be zero-emissions by 2030. But that rule would lead to just 4% of heavy duty trucks on-road in 2030 being zero-emission .

It’s not too late to strengthen the electric truck standard. We’re calling for CARB to set a more stringent rule. We’re also calling for the rule to apply to all trucks, including pickup trucks, starting in 2024.

Heavy-duty vehicles emit 45 percent of NOx pollution and 57 percent of PM 2.5 pollution from the US on-road transportation sector.
