Today Governor Newsom appointed Darnell Grisby to be a commissioner on the California Transportation Commission. This appointment comes as millions of Californians breathe unhealthy air from our most polluting sector, transportation.
Communities of color suffer disproportionately from the dirtiest air in the state. As the Executive Director of TransForm, Mr. Grisby brings a much-needed voice for public transportation and communities of color. We hope all CTC members will prioritize sustainable modes of transportation and providing clean mobility to our most vulnerable populations.
We congratulate Mr. Grisby and thank Governor Newsom.
