We are pleased that LA Metro and Caltrans will recommend a no-build” option for the South I-710 corridor. Freeway expansion would have only resulted in more traffic and further harm to the surrounding neighborhoods, many of which are among the most vulnerable and polluted communities in California.
Going forward, we urge LA Metro and Caltrans to begin building a clean transportation future for all Southern California and refrain from piecemealing expansion projects, which would violate both the law and community trust.
