About the Joint Electric Truck Scaling Initiative (JETSI)

JETSI is a landmark effort led by the South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD) alongside the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the California Energy Commission (CEC) to deploy 100 battery-electric regional haul and drayage trucks as well as 50 truck chargers across Southern California. The battery-electric trucks (BET) will be deployed through a partnership with NFI Industries (NFI) and Schneider. JETSI represents an unprecedented industry-wide collaboration that includes more than 20 public and private partners and stakeholders.

Coalition for Clean Air (CCA) Role

CCA’s role in this collaborative, includes meeting and engaging with a variety of community-based, public health, environmental justice, and government organizations/representatives and provide marketing/outreach materials to the community.
